General
|
1.3.5 Cleaning work
• Before starting any cleaning work take
all safety precautions.
• Don’t use any flammable
liquids and aggressive cleaning agents, such as acidic or caustic
agents.
• When cleaning, ensure
that no parts may be damaged (e. g. probes).
CAUTION
|
Danger of
malfunction by penetrating water!
Carefully cover all electric and electronic components before cleaning
the system with water.
Do not direct high-pressure steam jet cleaners to electric/electronic
equipment.
After cleaning, check all components for functioning. |
1.3.6 Working on the
electric system
WARNING
|
Danger caused by Electric Voltage!
Work on the electric system must be carried out only by electro-
technically qualified personnel.
Prior to any maintenance work on the high-voltage circuits, switch off
the power supply. Secure the switch so that it cannot be switched on
unintentionally.
If to carry out specific work the inspection system must be in motion
or the power supply must be switched on, take measures to avoid
dangerous
situations.
|
• Prior to working on the system, take all measures required to avoid
accidents. Always observe the following safety rules:
• disconnect,
• secure against
switching on,
• ensure that the system
is electrically dead,
• ground and
short-circuit,
• cover or install a
barrier around neighboring parts which are under voltage
1.3.7 Behavior during
accidents
In case of accidents with personal injuries or damage to material or
building, the internal works regulations on installation site are
applicable.
1.3.8 Remaining hazards
and protection
Remaining hazards are hazards which may occur while handling the
inspection system which cannot be eliminated despite its safe design.
Remaining hazards are not obvious and may lead to possible injuries or
represent a risk to health.
However, remaining hazards are not restricted to the immediate
hazardous area of the inspection system so that persons staying in this
area must be very careful in order to be able to react without delay in
the case of a malfunction, of an incident, of a failure etc. Persons
staying in the area of the inspection system must have been instructed
about the possible hazards in connection with the system.
